Alaska Airlines has quietly launched a new interline partnership with Breeze Airways and begun selling select tickets for the low cost carrier, Simple Flying and One Mile at a Time reported. Under the agreement, Alaska Airlines is also awarding Atmos Rewards points on select Breeze Airways routes, according to One Mile at a Time. [1][2]

Simple Flying reported that Alaska Airlines confirmed the interline agreement to Cranky Flier, positioning Breeze Airways as a potential East Coast sales channel for the carrier. The ticketing integration was first identified by Enilria before being analyzed by Cranky Flier, according to One Mile at a Time. [1][2]

In addition to the domestic partnership, Alaska Airlines is planning to expand its long haul international network. The Points Guy reported that Andrew Harrison, chief commercial officer at Alaska Airlines, confirmed the carrier is working on a new transpacific route to Asia out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. [4]

Speaking to Skift, Harrison stated that Alaska Airlines aims to strengthen its position on the West Coast through premium investments and international expansion, even as it faces fuel price increases, market competition from Delta Air Lines, and operational constraints at its primary hub. [5]
