Etihad Airways commercial chief Arik De departs carrier with immediate effect

Etihad Airways Chief Commercial Officer Arik De has left the Abu Dhabi carrier with immediate effect, Paddley Too, One Mile at a Time, PYOK, and The Aviation Hub all report. The airline has not provided a reason for his sudden departure, according to Paddley Too and PYOK. [1][2][5][6]

One Mile at a Time reports that De also served as Chief Revenue Officer and departed with no notice. The outlet notes that his profile was removed from the leadership page of the airline, and Etihad has not named a replacement for the position. [2]

Paddley Too reports that De was previously accused of involvement with a fake LinkedIn profile used to promote himself and criticise others while at the airline. [1]

Etihad Airways is the second largest airline in the United Arab Emirates after Emirates. It began operations in November 2003 and maintains its head office in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, near Zayed International Airport. [7]
