Four American Airlines Flight Attendants Sicken After Eating Passenger Meals

Four American Airlines flight attendants became sick with food poisoning after eating leftover passenger meals on a transatlantic flight to Rome over the weekend. Paddley Too and PYOK both reported that the crew members were deadheading from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport when the incident occurred. [1][8]

The four crew members were traveling as off-duty repositioning staff on the flight to Italy. Paddley Too reported that the incident followed the cancellation of a regularly scheduled American Airlines flight from Rome Fiumicino back to Dallas-Fort Worth on October 2. [1]

Transatlantic flights operate across the Atlantic Ocean between Europe and North America, with contemporary routes ranging from 3,000 kilometers to 15,000 kilometers.
