Cruise line Crystal will add five new luxury accommodations to the cruise ship Crystal Serenity following a scheduled dry dock in 2028, Cruise Industry News and Travel Market Report both reported. The new additions will consist of a single Crystal Owner's Suite and four Junior Penthouse Premium Suites, according to both outlets. [2][4]

According to Cruise Industry News, all five of the new accommodations will be situated midship on deck 11 of the vessel. The outlet reported that the newly constructed suites will be available for passenger sailings beginning May 5, 2028. [4]

Cruise Industry News reported that the cruise line previously announced the 2028 dry dock will take place in Lisbon. Reports from TravelPulse, Cruise Critic, Porthole Cruise and Travel, and Latte Luxury News also confirmed that Crystal Serenity will debut the new suites after completing the shipyard work. [1][3][4][5][6]

The project will expand the suite options on deck 11 for travelers booking voyages starting in May 2028. The updates to Crystal Serenity will be completed during its stay at the Lisbon facility before the ship resumes commercial passenger service. [4]
