British Airways unveiled plans on Monday to redesign its Airbus A380 superjumbos, creating a 106-seat business class cabin that will span the entire upper deck. Paddley Too and View from the Wing both reported that the new layout will make it the largest business class cabin in the world. [1][2][8][10]

To accommodate the expanded business class cabin, British Airways is removing 88 economy seats from each Airbus A380 aircraft. According to View from the Wing, the airline is also adding new first class suites and expanding its premium economy section by more than 50 percent. [2]

Along with aircraft upgrades, British Airways is making adjustments to its passenger ground services. View from the Wing and One Mile at a Time reported that the airline is redesigning its eight lounges at London Heathrow Airport, including a new arrivals lounge and a Terminal 5C gate lounge featuring a dedicated Concorde space. [2][5]

British Airways is the flag carrier airline of the United Kingdom and maintains its primary operational hub at London Heathrow Airport. The fleet modifications are part of a broader multi-billion-pound investment in overall passenger experience. [9][12]
