Singapore Airlines revealed on November 4, 2026, that it has been affected by a major data breach involving a third-party vendor, Paddley Too reported. The vendor supplies software to the airline to manage bookings and sell flights. Paddley Too and PYOK both report that Singapore Airlines is the latest global carrier to be caught up in the massive Amadeus system breach. [1][6]
The security incident resulted in unauthorized access to approximately 46,000 bookings, according to Paddley Too. The compromised records include passenger names, booking reference numbers, travel itineraries, and booking classes. However, Paddley Too reported that credit card information and other personal data were not compromised in the leak. [1]
The incident follows a similar security event involving the same software provider. As FTMQ Travel reported earlier, Cathay Pacific announced in October 2026 that an unauthorized party accessed travel reservation data in its Amadeus booking system. That breach lasted for three years and exposed passenger names, booking references, and flight details for roughly 53,000 Cathay Pacific passenger bookings without compromising payment data. [10][11]
Paddley Too reported that six global airlines have been caught up in the wider vendor breach. Singapore Airlines has admitted to the issue and confirmed that its passenger reservation software was impacted by the third-party leak. [1]
In short
- Around 46,000 Singapore Airlines bookings were affected by a third-party software vendor data breach.
- Exposed data includes passenger names, booking reference numbers, travel itineraries, and booking classes.
- Credit card information and other personal details were not compromised in the Singapore Airlines breach.
- The incident involves software provided by Amadeus, which affects at least six global airlines.
