American Airlines flight suffers brake issue and blown tire in Chicago

An American Airlines flight from Spain landed safely at Chicago O'Hare International Airport before suffering brake issues and at least one blown tire.

An American Airlines flight landed safely at Chicago O'Hare International Airport on Tuesday afternoon before experiencing a brake issue and a blown tire. According to ABC7 Chicago, Fox News, and the Federal Aviation Administration, Flight 41 originated from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport in Spain and landed at approximately 2:30 p.m. [1][5]

Emergency vehicles responded to the aircraft on the airfield following the landing. ABC7 Chicago and CBS News both reported that one person was transported to a hospital in good condition. The Chicago Fire Department initially indicated that two tires were flat on the aircraft, according to ABC7 Chicago and AOL.co.uk. [1][6][7]

Chicago O'Hare International Airport is operated by the Chicago Department of Aviation and serves as a major international transit hub. As FTMQ Travel reported earlier, an American Airlines Boeing 737 made a separate emergency landing at the airport after crew members detected smoke inside the cabin. [8][10]
