British Airways completes free Starlink Wi-Fi rollout across Airbus A350 fleet

British Airways has completed the rollout of free, high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire fleet of Airbus A350 long-haul aircraft, Paddley Too reported. PYOK and InsideFlyer both confirm that every Airbus A350 in the fleet now provides the service. [1][7][8]

Engineers installed the Starlink satellite systems across all 18 of the airline's Airbus A350 jets in just over a month, Paddley Too reported. The outlet noted that this installation process was completed far faster than the ongoing Wi-Fi rollout across the carrier's Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. [1]

Starlink is a telecommunications subsidiary of SpaceX that provides satellite internet service using a low Earth orbit constellation. British Airways operates a twin-aisle long-haul fleet that includes the Airbus A350, Airbus A380, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787. [10][11]

The completion of the A350 rollout comes as other major carriers accelerate their satellite internet installations, as FTMQ Travel reported earlier. United Airlines plans to equip over 1,000 mainline aircraft with Starlink by May 2027, while American Airlines plans to begin Starlink retrofits on its Boeing fleet in early 2027. [12][13]
