Disney Cruise Line has announced details for its fourth Wish-class ship, the Disney Believe, during an October 7 event. Cruise Hive and Cruise Industry News both report that the upcoming vessel will operate its inaugural season out of Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. According to Cruise Industry News, Tracy Wilson, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line operations, confirmed the homeport details. [1][2]
The 2,500-passenger ship will offer four-night and five-night itineraries, Cruise Industry News reported. Cruise Hive noted that the vessel is scheduled to debut in 2027, following up on the cruise line's initial announcement from earlier this year. [1][2]
The announcement event featured updates on entertainment, restaurant venues, and stage shows planned for the new ship, Cruise Hive and TravelPulse reported. The updates include an Encanto musical and a Frozen dinner show, TravelPulse said. [1][3]
The vessel is currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, following a keel-laying ceremony in September 2026, as FTMQ Travel reported earlier. Disney Cruise Line operates eight ships in its current fleet, with five additional ships expected to enter service by 2031. [9][12]
