Royal Caribbean has changed the itinerary for the October 18, 2026 sailing of Oasis of the Seas, cancelling all original port calls due to severe weather off the East Coast of the United States. Cruise Hive, Rus Tourism News, and Royal Caribbean Blog all report that the cruise ship has been rerouted to Canada. [1][6][7]
The voyage departed from Cape Liberty, New Jersey, and was originally scheduled to visit Port Canaveral, Perfect Day at CocoCay, and Nassau before returning on October 25, Cruise Hive reported. Cruise Hive and Rus Tourism News both confirm that Royal Caribbean cancelled all three Bahamas-bound cruise stops and replaced them with an overnight stay in Halifax, Nova Scotia. [1][6]
Oasis of the Seas is the namesake ship of Royal Caribbean International's Oasis class, having been delivered in 2009 by STX Europe Turku Shipyard in Finland. Passengers aboard the affected sailing received notification of the sudden itinerary change directly from the cruise line as the storm developed, Cruise Hive reported. [1][8]
