Eastern Railway replaced standard blankets with floral comforters in First Class AC coaches of the Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express on 11 October. Livemint reported that the rail operator introduced the new bedding to enhance passenger comfort and maintain hygiene standards ahead of Durga Puja. [1]
Under the new operational routine, Livemint said that the floral bedding will undergo washing and sanitisation after every round trip. The change alters the overnight travel experience for passengers using the premium service. [1]
The Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express is operated by Eastern Railway and was the first Rajdhani Express train introduced in India.
